Washington Golf and Country Club – Arlington, VA

We installed a 1104 SF golf cart path for Washington Golf & Country Club (WGCC) in November of 2014. The Superintendent of the club chose Pewter for the Flexi-Pave color. Other future projects for this client may include: a bridge overlay, a sidewalk entry overlay, a ball washer station, and an upper deck overlay.

“Washington Golf and Country Club is a traditional private country club dedicated to providing exceptional service, facilities and programs to our members, families and guests in a fiscally responsible manner. Washington Golf and Country Club is located in close proximity to the Nation’s Capitol, just one of the many attractions of membership. The Georgian-style clubhouse, renovated in 2004, sits on one of the highest points in historic Arlington, Virginia. It looks out over one of the most beautiful and challenging 18-hole golf courses in the region and offers views across the Potomac River to the skyline of Washington. Situated on over 120 acres, the WGCC complex also includes a golf driving range, putting and practice greens, a swimming pool, 10 outdoor tennis courts, a five-court indoor tennis facility, and a well-equipped fitness center. The clubhouse features formal and informal dining rooms, a tap room, a men’s grill, a ladies lounge, various outdoor dining areas, as well as a cocktail lounge, meeting and party rooms accommodating groups of 18 to 60 persons, and a large, attractive ballroom, with a capacity of 300-400, the scene of many of the Club’s larger social events — dances, formal dinners, receptions, and weddings. A staff of highly experienced professionals is responsible for full programs of golf, tennis, swim and dive and instruction for all age and gender groups.”

“Since 1894 members and guests have marveled at our Donald Ross/ William Flynn designed course.  Once known as the “Playground of Presidents” the course offers a big challenge with not many yards.  Being just over 6000 yards from the tips, the sloped fairways and undulating greens keep the low handicapper honest while other sets of tee’s keep the mid to high handicapper coming back for more. Washington Golf and Country Club offers a complete pro shop and lessons from award winning Mid Atlantic PGA Professionals.”
